Local Attractions

If you need any information about the Ranch, Three Rivers, or Sequoia National Park to view prior to your arrival, please let us know and we will be happy to assist you.  We hope that you will enjoy your stay with us.

Sequoia National Park is the second oldest of the US National Parks.  Three Rivers is located just 6 miles from the Southern Ash Mountain Entrance to the Park.

Features at the park include the majestic Giant Sequoia trees, including the General Sherman Tree (World's largest tree by volume), Crystal Cave, the Giant Forest Museum, Tokapah Falls, Moro Rock, Alta Peak, and Beetle Rock.

In addition, visitors will enjoy spotting the abundant wildlife prevalent in the park including black bear, mule deer, cougar, chipmunk, raccoon, hawks, squirrels, and coyote.  Please read all information provided by the park in regard to how to interact with the wildlife.

Visitors to the park can either explore the park privately roaming the numerous trails, or take advantage of the ranger led walks.

Access to the Mineral King area of Sequoia National Park and the heritage listed community  Silver City is located just two miles from River Walker Ranch.

The drive to Mineral King and the Silver City community is a winding road that weaves up the mountains and into the southern tip of the National Park.

Accessible during the months of May to October, Mineral King is home to not only some of the park's most inspiring views, but to a large wildlife population.  Enjoy walking amongst deer and exploring old mining caves nestled next to waterfalls.  Guided camping excursions may be arranged in advance with park personnel.
